Welcome to Kalamazoo Public Schools mathematics page. Our 17 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, 2 high schools, and 2 alternative learning programs are committed to providing a sound mathematics foundation for the students of KPS. The mathematics department is in various phases of the KPS Curriculum Development cycle. Throughout the district, there will be teams of staff members evaluating our exisiting mathematics curriculum; examining state and national principles, standards, and benchmarks for mathematics teaching and learning: investigating current research on the teaching and learning of mathematics; and defining the KPS PreK-12 mathematics curriculum for future years.
