There was a small fire at Kalamazoo Central High School this afternoon. Staff and administrators quickly evacuated the building. The fire was contained to a small Plexiglas window in a stairwell. There was no other damage, and there were no injuries. The window will be replaced and school will be in session tomorrow. Kalamazoo Township Police are conducting an investigation.

The Annual Education Report (AER) provides key information on the 2010-2011 educational progress of the Kalamazoo Public Schools district (KPS) as required by federal (No Child Left Behind Act) and state (P.A. 25) laws. The field trip to the Bodies Revealed exhibit on Friday, March 25 has been rescheduled due to the conflict with the basketball game. This trip is taking place Tuesday, March 29. Remember to bring a bagged lunch for the bus! You will go to first and second hour and meet in the front of the building by the security lobby at 9 am. See Ms. Webber or Ms. Stoner if you have any questions.
