KPS kids/staff/parents to cheer on the marathon runners on Sunday, May 8

Kalamazoo Marathon “Excitement zone”: Space has been reserved in front of the Kalamazoo Valley Museum, 230 N. Rose Street, for a group of KPS kids/staff/parents to cheer on the marathon runners on Sunday morning, May 8.
Arrive by 7:20 a.m. and stay until about 8:30 a.m. Folks will be able to leave in plenty of time to be first in line to take mom to breakfast at a downtown restaurant! Event organizers have assured us that there will be ample parking at that time of day.
Museum staff will be on hand to unlock the doors for folks who need to use the restrooms. The museum will also be issuing complimentary tickets to the planetarium. MESSA has donated water bottles, and T-shirts in adult sizes S, M, L and XL.
KPS will be just one of many community groups that will be hosting and supporting Kalamazoo’s first marathon. “Excitement groups” and water stations will be planted all along the 26 mile course, and at the beginning and finish lines.
