Prairie Ridge Elementary

Parent involvement is key to the success of the school and students' academics. There is a variety of ways for parents to get involved; for example, with our PTO and School Improvement Team. These groups continually look for ways to improve Prairie Ridge Elementary. In addition, parents can also become:

  •     Guest readers.
  •     Tutors.
  •     Playground volunteers.
  •     Classroom helpers.
  •     Contributors of "wish list" classroom supplies.

Hospitality – to host our PTO sponsored school events.

Membership/volunteers – to maintain the school directory, keep a volunteer database, organize room parents and oversee the PTO nominating committee.

Academics – planning for events directly related to our child’s education; Pride assemblies, math and literacy nights, book swaps, and testing proctors.

Philanthropy – create and act on initiatives that support our community through the annual Soup Bowl event, teacher wish tree, community donations, and family-child resources.
