Kalamazoo Central High School
It is our mission to help our students become successful and to assist them in reaching their potential.  Building relationships with our students/families and maintaining sound two-way communication between the home and school are vital to this endeavor.  It is also essential that our parents have easy access to all information that the school offers so that they can make informed educational decisions with their children.

Here you will find essential information for parents and students for the school year.  From this site you will be able to access staff emails, special announcements, guidance information, athletic schedules, and more.  It is my desire to have a safe and productive year where the Kalamazoo Central High School Community works together to achieve greatness.

At Kalamazoo Central we want all of our students to go "PRO" (be Prepared, be Respectful, take Ownership.)   Let's take GIANT steps forward!

Welcome back to the first day of the last trimester and the first day of spring sports.

There will be a book club meeting Tuesday (3/14) from 2:30-3:30 in room 238.

EFA and EFE applications may still be submitted to the counseling office. Some of the classes still have room. If there is no space, at least you may be placed on the waitlist.

The LNHS Travel Club will have a meeting at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 16 at Norrix in Room A-12 for those interested in our 2018 trip to Japan. There will be a discussion on the itinerary, costs, college credits for high school students, and CEU's for teachers. Should you need further information, contact Cindy VanLieu at Norrix or check the announcement book in the KC athletic office.

The Central Orchestra was excited to participate in the annual Band & Orchestra District Festival for the first time in over a decade this past weekend.  We're pleased to announce that the orchestra earned all  Division 1 ratings for a prepared and sight read music performance.  Central music students have had a great year, with a 3 in 3 record of Superior performances by the choirs, symphonic band and now the orchestra.  Congratulations to our talented music students and their dedicated teachers!

Seniors who will get the Kalamazoo Promise scholarship: When you know for sure you will be attending KVCC or Western, your next step is to meet with your Promise contact at your college to complete the Kalamazoo Promise acceptance form. Contact information is available in the counseling office.

[Your KVCC Promise contact is Ms. Morales. Your WMU Promise contact is Mr. Dillard.]

Tennis try outs today have been changed to 5-7 this afternoon in the auxiliary gym.

Women’s soccer tryouts will start tomorrow (3/14). Be prepared to be both outside and inside every day. See Coach Sandhu in room 348 for more information.
